Walk 5 Cultural Walk to Ynys Llanddwyn |

This is a chance to take part in a fantastic walk along the beach to Ynys Llanddwyn. During the 5th Century, this tidal island was home to Santes Dwynwen, the patron saint of love in Wales and is steeped in local history and folklore. Learn about the island’s rich history, interpret recent archaeological work completed on some of the relicts, and help identify plants and animals along the way. We may also get to see some seals who can often be found hauled up on the rocks just off Llanddwyn.

Walk 6 Madam Wen Trail' (White Maiden Trail) |

Follow the steps of the fabled ‘Madam Wen’ the ‘Highway man/woman’? of Ynys Môn around Llyn Traffwll North West Anglesey. Visit the rock formation which is the entrance to a cave where there is rumoured to be hidden treasure! Hear stories of Tafarn y Gwch and of the small holdings Alltwen Wen, Alltwen Goch and Alltwen Ddu where bands of robbers met and plotted raids on the rich!

Walk 7 New Paths and an Old Hill Fort |

This walk follows the new route of the Anglesey Coastal Path, where it has been diverted following a landslide. We will have good views across Traeth Coch and continue up through a hazel wood and fields to our high point, the hill fort of Bwrdd Arthur (164m). The Isle of Man can sometimes be seen from here. After lunch we will return to the start along a maze of hidden footpaths and minor roads.

Enjoy an afternoon walk with Wildlife Trust ecologists through a variety of habitats on the Trust’s Mariandyrys Nature Reserve. Explore flower-rich limestone grassland and heathland, with every chance of seeing a variety of butterflies, and take in fabulous views from the Great Orme to the Rivals.
